What you'll need?

  • Parchment paper sheets
  • Good quality baking sheets
  • 1 medium size cookie scoop

Ingredients

  • 281g (2 1/4 cups) all-purpose flour
  • 5g (1 teaspoon) baking soda
  • 3g (1/2 teaspoon) salt
  • 225g (1 cup or 2 sticks) unsalted butter softened
  • 150g (3/4 cup) granulated sugar
  • 150g packed (3/4 cup) brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs at room temperature
  • 5g (1 teaspoon) vanilla extract
  • 340g (2 cups) semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl. Beat until well mixed and smooth
  3. Add the vanilla extract and eggs to the sugar mixture, beating well after each addition..
  4. Mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to over mix.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  6. *Scoop tablespoon-sized balls (using your fancy cookie scoop) of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving enough space between each cookie for them to spread (about 2 inches).
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned but the center is still soft. The baking time may vary depending on your oven and how soft or crispy you prefer your cookies.
  8. Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

These chocolate chip cookies are perfect for sharing with friends and family or enjoying with a cold glass of milk. Enjoy baking and indulging in these timeless treats!

* Cooling the cookies in the refrigerator for couple of hours or overnight will prevent them from spreading too much when baking.
